Welcome to the marine biome information center

This website's purpose is to inform you about the marine biome. Marine means "of or relating to the seas or oceans." A biome is "a major regional group of distinctive plant and animal communities well adapted to the region's physical environment."

What you will find here

Whatever your questions, this website should be able to answer them. However, our information is organized into five sections.

The biome description talks about what our biome actually is. The microorganisms page discusses details relating to the different microscopic organisms in our environment and the role they play in the grand scheme of things. The biodiversity section purpose is to inform the reader about the different species found in the biome in relation to their location in the environment, and how they need to be adapated to survive. The food web is a list of the different levels and classes in which the organisms of our biome survive. And finally, the ecological portion of this site discusses things are are disruptive and dangerous to the marine biome, whether they be because of humans or nature.
